Description

Moonbeam Coreopsis (Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam') is one of the most reliable long-blooming perennials you can grow. Soft, pale yellow flowers cover the fine-textured foliage from June right through to frost, making it a standout in borders, rock gardens, and pollinator plantings. Drought tolerant, easy to grow, and a consistent butterfly magnet — it's a plant that earns its spot every year.

Why Gardeners Choose Moonbeam Coreopsis

  • Blooms June to frost: One of the longest flowering seasons of any perennial — continuous soft yellow color all season.
  • Butterfly and pollinator favorite: A reliable nectar source that keeps bees and butterflies active in your garden.
  • Drought tolerant: Thrives in dry conditions once established — ideal for low-water landscapes.
  • Cut flower appeal: Delicate blooms make lovely additions to fresh arrangements.
  • Easy to grow: Adapts to average or even poor soil — a great choice for all skill levels.

Planting & Care

  • Light: Full sun for best flowering.
  • Soil: Well-drained; avoid overly rich soil which can cause floppy growth.
  • Watering: Keep moist until established, then very low water needs.
  • Deadheading: Regular deadheading encourages continuous bloom through fall.
  • Division: Divide every few years to keep plants vigorous.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 2–5 business days. You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order is on its way. Shipping times may vary slightly during peak growing season.

How do I plant my new plant when it arrives?

Water your plant thoroughly as soon as it arrives. Choose a location that matches the plant's light requirements, dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and plant at the same depth it was growing in the pot. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil consistently moist for the first few weeks while roots establish.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

We stand behind every plant we ship. If your plant arrives damaged or in poor condition, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with a photo and we'll make it right — replacement or refund, your choice.

What growing zones do your plants ship to?

Most of our plants are suited to USDA Hardiness Zones 5–9. Each product page includes the specific zone range for that plant. Some plants cannot ship to certain states due to agricultural regulations — this is noted on individual product pages.
