Description

Very Van Gogh Veronica (Veronica 'Very Van Gogh' PP27428) is a head-turning spike speedwell with long, upright flower spikes that shift between soft pink and rich purple depending on the light and surrounding plants. It blooms from summer through early fall with regular deadheading, stays compact and tidy, and pulls in bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds all season. Deer resistant, salt tolerant, and easy to grow.

Why Gardeners Choose Very Van Gogh Veronica

  • Color-shifting blooms: Flower spikes transition between pink and purple tones depending on light — a truly dynamic display.
  • Long bloom season: Flowers from summer to early fall with deadheading — one of the longest-blooming veronicas available.
  • Pollinator friendly: Sweet nectar draws bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds consistently through the season.
  • Deer and salt resistant: A great choice for coastal gardens or properties with deer pressure.
  • Compact habit: Reaches 18–20 inches tall with a 20–24 inch spread — works well in borders, containers, and as a cut flower.

Planting & Care

  • Light: Full sun to part sun.
  • Soil: Well-drained.
  • Height: 18–20 inches tall, 20–24 inch spread.
  • Pruning: Cut back after the first bloom in mid-summer to encourage strong reblooming through fall.
  • Companions: Pairs beautifully with Snowcap Shasta Daisy and Mellow Yellows Echinacea for a complementary color palette.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 2–5 business days. You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order is on its way. Shipping times may vary slightly during peak growing season.

How do I plant my new plant when it arrives?

Water your plant thoroughly as soon as it arrives. Choose a location that matches the plant's light requirements, dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and plant at the same depth it was growing in the pot. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil consistently moist for the first few weeks while roots establish.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

We stand behind every plant we ship. If your plant arrives damaged or in poor condition, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with a photo and we'll make it right — replacement or refund, your choice.

What growing zones do your plants ship to?

Most of our plants are suited to USDA Hardiness Zones 5–9. Each product page includes the specific zone range for that plant. Some plants cannot ship to certain states due to agricultural regulations — this is noted on individual product pages.
