Monarda 'Grape Gumball' (Sugar Buzz® Series) is a compact, showstopping bee balm that packs deep purple blooms onto dark, fragrant foliage in a tidy dome shape. Native to eastern North America, it's a fast grower that blooms the very first summer planted — and once it's in, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies will find it every season. Crush the foliage and you'll catch a pleasant mint scent, a hallmark of all monardas.

Water your plant thoroughly as soon as it arrives. Choose a location that matches the plant's light requirements, dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and plant at the same depth it was growing in the pot. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil consistently moist for the first few weeks while roots establish.
