Description

Pink Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana 'Rosea') is a bold, architectural ornamental grass that makes an immediate statement in any landscape. Tall, arching clumps of narrow foliage give way to large, fluffy blush-pink plumes in late summer that persist through winter — swaying gracefully in the breeze and catching the light beautifully. Fast-growing and low maintenance, it's an outstanding choice for privacy, borders, or as a dramatic focal point in a large container or patio planting.

Why Gardeners Choose Pink Pampas Grass

  • Stunning blush-pink plumes: Large, feathery flower heads in a soft rosy pink — one of the most eye-catching ornamental grasses available.
  • Year-round interest: Plumes appear in late summer and persist beautifully through winter, providing months of visual impact.
  • Fast growing: Quickly fills in to create privacy screens, windbreaks, or dramatic garden backdrops.
  • Low maintenance: Thrives with minimal care once established — just a light tidy-up in early spring.
  • Pairs beautifully: Plant alongside White Pampas Grass for a striking two-tone contrast that elevates both varieties.

Planting & Care

  • Light: Full sun.
  • Soil: Well-drained; adaptable to a wide range of soil types.
  • Watering: Regular watering until established; moderate needs after.
  • Maintenance: Cut back to the ground in early spring before new growth emerges.
  • Caution: Foliage edges are sharp — wear gloves when handling.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 2–5 business days. You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order is on its way. Shipping times may vary slightly during peak growing season.

How do I plant my new plant when it arrives?

Water your plant thoroughly as soon as it arrives. Choose a location that matches the plant's light requirements, dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, and plant at the same depth it was growing in the pot. Water deeply after planting and keep the soil consistently moist for the first few weeks while roots establish.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

We stand behind every plant we ship. If your plant arrives damaged or in poor condition, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with a photo and we'll make it right — replacement or refund, your choice.

What growing zones do your plants ship to?

Most of our plants are suited to USDA Hardiness Zones 5–9. Each product page includes the specific zone range for that plant. Some plants cannot ship to certain states due to agricultural regulations — this is noted on individual product pages.
